Withing these projects, students engage in inquiry to answer and solve complex questions and real world problems or challenges. PBL allows our students to develop 21st century skills including collaboration , communication and critical thinking while creating high-quality, authentic products and presentations.

Maureen Joy Charter School is a K-8 public charter school located in Durham, North Carolina. Our school is tuition-free and open to the public with enrollment determined by an annual lottery. We focus on developing the whole child through high-quality instruction, school-community partnerships, and the promotion of a positive self-identity.
