Thank you for your interest in supporting FCR’s Head Start and Early Head Start Programs “Book Bundle Fundraiser”

We have partnered with early educational book publishers to curate book bundles that follow our curriculum. The books are discounted and the more we raise, the more books will be donated by the publisher, in addition to our savings. Lastly, we have secured a donor who will match our donations up to $5,000 ($10,000 total).

What are we fundraising for?
NEW Books for the creation of Lending Libraries and Storytime Libraries in FCR’s Head Start and Early Head Start Classrooms, located in Durham and Orange Counties.

Who qualifies for Head Start and Early Head Start Education?
Children ages 0-5 may qualify for our early education services based on their developmental challenges, living in a low-wealth household, being in foster care, or experiencing homelessness.

What is a Lending Library?
A Lending Library is where a child may choose to take a book home to enjoy reading with their family. They may choose to bring it back or keep it!

How much does FCR need to raise?
FCR serves up to 715 children across 51 Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms. The goal is to have at least one book for every child. Our monetary goal is $5,000 with a $5,000 match ($10,000 total)!
