MALE Engagement: Men Achieving and Leading by Example

In the United States, over 20 million children reside in homes where fathers are physically absent, and countless more have dads who, though physically present, lack emotional involvement. If fatherlessness were classified as a disease, it would indeed constitute an epidemic demanding national attention.

Families & Communities Rising recognizes the profound impact of absent fathers on families and society. That's why we've established the Male Engagement Program, aimed at bridging this gap within the families we serve. Whether a father is physically absent or seeking deeper connections with their children, our program provides vital support.

An "engaged father" is one who takes responsibility for their child, both emotionally and physically, offers material support, actively participates in childcare, and influences child-rearing decisions. We applaud men who choose to actively shape and nurture the development of children.

With your ongoing support, we empower fathers, parents, staff, and the broader community to make a lasting difference:

  • Nurtured men are more likely to engage actively in their communities and their own children's lives, fostering their growth.

  • We constantly seek innovative ways to empower families, communities, parents, and caregivers to be their best selves. Together, we shape a brighter future for our children and the world they'll inherit.

Our Events

We work hard to create opportunities for fathers or father figures to not only interact with their children, but we help them to create lasting memories. It’s very important to provide opportunities for fathers or father figures to bond with their young children.
